Staff Ice Bucket Challenge for Thelma

The Staff of Singleton School will be taking part in a sponsored ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’ to raise money for Motor Neurones Charities.

This is a very special event in support of a charity very dear to our hearts and we hope that you will all support us.

Mrs Haigh’s mum Thelma has Motor Neurones disease. Thelma has been a part of our school family for many years, giving up hours of her time to teach our children how to sew. Thelma made our beautiful 150^th celebration wall hanging of the village that hangs in the entrance hall. She also made the wall hangings that hang outside the new hall to celebrate the building of the new hall in 2011. More recently, Thelma helped our children make a beautiful frieze representing the Creation from the Bible.

Thelma is an incredible woman, wise, caring, kind and she has an unbelievable strength and determination.

All the staff at Singleton School (including Mrs Clayton and Mrs Millward!!!) will be taking part in the challenge.
